OUR PASTOR

 Rev. Adrian E. Davis is the gifted and anointed Senior Pastor of Vernon Hill Missionary Baptist Church (VHMBC) in Oxford, NC. A courageous and visionary leader, he serves a community of believers with a rich history of worshipping God and serving humankind. Under Rev. Davis’s short term of leadership, the Vernon Hill Missionary Baptist Church is experiencing growth both spiritually and numerically. Rev. Davis stands on God’s word, declaring, “He will add to the church daily.”

In 2004, Rev. Davis founded the Guardian Outreach Ministries, which served the nursing home community and residence, and with the same passion, he serves the membership of VHMBC. Rev. Davis was recognized as Man of the Year (2017) and received the Charlie R. Marable, Sr. Service Award (2014) for his steadfast guidance and leadership throughout the church and community.

Rev. Davis is a compassionate and visionary pastor who cares deeply for the members of Vernon Hill and the surrounding churches.

A native of Henderson, NC, Rev. Davis is a former Vance Senior High School graduate. After a short stint in the United States Air Force, Davis attended Shaw University in Raleigh, NC. He graduated summa cum laude from Vance Granville Community College, Henderson, NC, with Associate degrees in Accounting and Business Administration.  Rev. Davis also graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree with a concentration in Pastoral Theology from Heritage Bible College & Seminary in Dunn, NC. Rev. Davis is currently enrolled in the School of Divinity at Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA, pursuing a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Chaplaincy.

Rev. Davis is the son of the late Garland and Lizzie Davis. He is married to the former Shirley Champion, and together they have two adult children and 10 grandchildren.
